If, computers are based on the logical progression of a binary code, then why do they act so arbitrarily some times? Last night I found a link that I wanted to investigate at a later date and so, rather than bookmark it, I simply e-mailed it to myself. That e-mail ended up in my spam folder. How does that happen? Anybody?
Of course, occasionally various "people" such as "Antivirus-man" will show up in the Comments section of this blog with the insightful, "Hi I congratulate you on Merry Christmas." I mark Antivirus-man as "spam" everytime he shows up, but he must not only be Antivirus-man, he must also be Antispam-man.
Yesterday, we visited a Books a Million which had on display . . . I don't even know what it was; something like a Kindle, but it also contained magazines. I picked it up and began to touch the screen. It was a transformative experience. In fact, I was immediately transformed into a chimpanzee; one who was learning to use tools for the first time. And not a particularly adept chimp, either, but one who resisted this strange object that had arrived in his world. I found that thing so frustrating that I screeched at the cashier, then threw down that little e-monster and stomped on it before scampering out of the store. You might say that I've declared war on computers. In fact, I'm fighting a gorilla war against those maddening machines.
