With Thanksgiving upon us and with the focus of this blog primarily on baseball, I thought it would be a good idea to reflect upon what this seamhead is thankful for this year. Therefore, in no particular order I am thankful for . . .
Buck Showalter coming to Baltimore.
Finding all those extra baseballs.
Watching Kevin Brown of the Rebels really blossom as a hitter.
Sharing in the excitement of the Rebels' Blaine Sims signing a professional contract with Atlanta.
The good times we had in the Rebel webcast booth this summer.
The folks who joined us in the booth, either in person or via e-mail.
Another season of "Old-Timer" workouts with Al. (While "middle-aged timer" has no ring to it, we have to come up with a better description than "old-timer"! That makes my knee hurt just typing it.)
Sharing in Jesse's blossoming interest in baseball; not that he had a choice since he married Becky.
Being part of the ceremony honoring Mo Weber upon his retirement.
The many friendships that I have made or strengthened at the ole ballpark, whatever ballpark that may be.
Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone!
