It is Just Waiting . . .

And so, I look and I listen as I sit in Rebel Park, and I realize that it is not really empty.  It is just waiting.  Waiting for the winter to pass and the college season to end.  Waiting for the warmth of the late spring sun, which will bring life to old friendships that have blossomed in the stands, just as the wildflowers blossom in sprays across the Shenandoah Valley.  Waiting for the cry of "Play ball!" that will bring the Rebel family together once more.
